Why Sony Didnt Include a second analog on PSP Go

The "second analog nub" mantra has since become sort of a call to arms for
a vocal portion of PSP users. When Sony revealed that the new PSP Go
would still have only one analog nub, these dissatisfied users ranted and
raved about what they considered a "stupid" decision.

There's a reason for every decision, though, no matter how stupid they may
end up being sometimes. As for the lack of a second analog nub on the PSP
Go, Shuhei Yoshida, President of Sony Worldwide Studios, says that they did
consider adding it, but it was just too early in the PSP's life cycle to
implement it now. Here's what he told GameInformer:

- "We also felt - like many users - that we wish we had a second analog
on the PSP. But we are talking about the mid-life cycle of this platform, and
the PSPgo is designed to be perfectly compatible with the PSP-3000 and all
the games that released before that. So we had a very serious discussion
about this particular subject, but we decided not to add a second analog,
and some of the developers are doing quite a nice job translating the second
analog functionality to different buttons. We didn’t want to divert their efforts either"

It actually makes sense to me. They did accede a bit and added support for
the Sixaxis and DualShock 3 controllers, which is a welcome feature. Of
course, I still expect a second analog stick on the PSP2 or whatever name
they ultimately choose to call it, but that's neither here or now. Any
thoughts, guys?

Assasin Creed Blood Line : Trailer And Details

The PSPGo maybe here to stay, but that doesn’t mean that Sony’s UMD format is going any where. Sony announced that they’ll be releasing a special ‘ ‘Assassin’s Creed: Bloodlines‘ bundle that will include a white PSP-3000, 2GB memory card, the game and a yet to be announced UMD movie. The game itself will release on November 10th (Amazon has a pre-order up that has it launching 11/17) and will contain exclusive content that is unlockable to those who purchase the game for the Playstation 3.

A recently filed trademark from Sony may be good news for PSP and PlayStation 3 owners in the West, as better wireless multiplayer support on the PlayStation Portable may be in our future.

Sony Computer Entertainment filed for the trademark "adhocParty" with the U.S. Patent and Trademark Office this week, the name of the service already beta testing in Japan. adhocParty allows supported PSP games that feature ad hoc wireless gaming—meaning between PSPs—to use the PlayStation 3's built in wi-fi capabilities as a multiplayer server.

adhocParty has been in beta testing since it launched in Japan last November, supporting hundreds of PSP games, but Sony Computer Entertainment America hasn't announced support for the service yet. When we spoke to Gran Turismo creator Kazunori Yamauchi at E3, SCEA reps said a localized version was "in the works," but offered no concrete details.

Given Sony's increased push on the PSP, with the PSPgo launching in a few months, the introduction of adhocParty stateside would make sense. Especially with marquee PSP titles like Gran Turismo and Final Fantasy Dissidia supporting the software.

Saints Row on PSP

The PSP has been getting a lot of games lately, and to compete with the upcoming port of GTA: Chinatown Wars (released on DS this April) there may be another sandbox game in the way. According to the Swedish prog-metal band Opeth (posted in music site Blabbermouth), they'll be providing their track "The Lotus Eater" for an upcoming Saints Row for the PSP, set to be released around March 2010 "We may not like playing video games all that much, but we do like it when our music is featured on them! Makes us a bit proud, even when it's a game as big as Saints Row for the PSP and even prouder when the nice developer people show excellent taste by picking 'The Lotus Eater' for it. So if you love playing video games, the game is expected to hit the streets around March 2010."

Resident Evil On PSP will be a tootall new game !

I spent a lot of time trying to dig up whatever updates I could find on Capcom's second mystery E3 title since I thought I didn't see it anywhere, but it turns out it was right there in Sony's E3 presentation all along.

Capcom's still keeping most of this game under wraps for now, but according to the Capcom Unity blog, it will be "an all-new title created specifically for the PSP platform, with the PSP Go in mind." The game is still early in development, though, so it most likely won't be a PSP Go launch title.

Oh, and it's apparently "totally different for a Resident Evil game." DMC-style action gameplay with combos up the wazoo? Platforming, maybe? What does that make you think of? Sound off in the comments below.

Little Big Planet and Army Of Two on PSP

The screen shots have came out and it looks nice . 2009 Sony has really brought up some good games in psp library. We just saw gran turismo in my last post : )
And now two more.
PSP version will have same levels as ps3 so you can play your ps3 profile and edit your levels on the go !
While army of two is nice first person fast paced shooter looks lil like KZ but more vibrant colors and lil beafed up gameplay ,characters, scenarios.
So much for my verdict here are screen shots from diffrent sites

Finally the game will be available on psp on 1st October .
This is a good addition to psp racing games library.

Gran Turismo PSP has just been unveiled at the Sony E3 keynote, and it looks set to shake up handheld racing. Running at a smooth 60fps on the new PSP Go, Gran Turismo PSP stocks 800 cars, 35 tracks and 60 layout variations of those tracks so you’ll probably end up playing this at home as well as out and about.

You can race with up to four players on Gran Turismo PSP, and you can share cars with others - a bit like Pokemon sure, but this is Gran Turismo peeps, we’re not complaining. Out when the PSP Go is.

The graphics looks good for a portable machine. This is a must on my psp list in late season 09.

So just a day before E3 i am surfing on internet and suddenly I get the news that on qore the new psp is leaked deliberately by Sony.
So i jumped on the various famous websites and really shocked :(
Seriously the new psp is a slap to savvy old design . We know its portable 43 percent less weight and bluetooth but hey look at the design people.
What Was Sony really thinking.
For me the hardware is still same and unless some serious hardware changes dont come im sticking to my old psp 1004.
